Visions for Nigeria Foundation (a Nigeria development charity) is a nonprofit, Non-Governmental Organization that works through volunteers to implement programmes that provide all social groups notably youths, women, children and rural communities with tools they need for sustenance.  Visions for Nigeria foundation is registered with the Corporate Affairs Commission, Abuja, Nigeria with registration No. RC:  17230 dated 29th July, 2004 and commenced full operations in Nigeria same month.
We aim to make Nigeria a kinder, gentler nation.
Her mission is to empower the youths, orphans and vulnerable children (OVC) for self-actualization through the provision of qualitative education, health services and economic development while working with volunteers.

The organization is implementing projects on community-based healthcare, youth and women empowerment and educations in Nigeria. They are seeking to appoint new Program Manager and Office Assistant assigned with following duties.
Job Title: Program Manager
Location: (Abuja)
Reporting to: President
Duties/Assignments:
The Program Manager will:
  • Oversee all project activities and be the main contact point for the donor and the field staff
  • Ensure project activities comply with the policies and regulations of the donor organization.
  • Responsible for overseeing the development and execution of project deliverables, lead project planning, budgeting, action plans and monitoring processes.
  • Responsible for submitting activity reports, meeting minutes and financial reports on regular basis to the donor.
  • Oversee the preparation and submission of annual activity-based project budgets as well as monthly and quarterly financial reports and sending of new funding requests.
  • Lead and motivate the project team and monitor project activities and project expenditure and coordinate work with consultants and volunteers in the project
  • Ensures close collaboration and coordination with cooperating partners to guarantee smooth implementation of activities and achievement of results as specified in grant agreements.
  • Employs resourcefulness in project design, implementation and monitoring. Trouble shoots project problems. Identifies and implements creative solutions.
  • Creating, planning, implementation, management and oversight of all aspects related to fundraising for the organization.
  • Identifying donor opportunities, develop donor database, respond to donor tenders and call for proposals, develop grant proposals, write appeals, represent the organization at donor meetings and undertake follow-up of potential funding opportunities.
  • Explore and develop strategies for long-term sustainability of the organization and its interventions
  • Develop business plans in consultation with other staff for possible generation of long-term incomes for the organization.
  • Undertake online research and build contacts with potential individual donors and raise funds for the activities of the organization.
  • Improve and develop communication materials for the organization such as brochure, website, annual report, DVD, poster etc.
  • Liaison with private agencies, the government and other organizations to explore potential collaborations for raising funds for the organization.
  • Suggest other innovative ideas for effective resource mobilization.
QUALIFICATIONS
B.Sc in natural, social and medical science courses
MSc in Social work or MPH.

CRITERIA
·Minimum of 4 years’ experience in social work/development work
·Knowledgeable in public health programs and community service












JOB TITLE: Office Assistant.

REPROT TO: The Program Manager.

JOB BACKGROUND:
The position is responsible for performing clerical and administrative duties in an office setting.  Clerical duties are in accordance with our office procedures and may include a combination of administrative functions such as answering of telephones, bookkeeping, typing, office machine operation, filing, bank transactions and delivery of mails and little knowledge of finance management.

KEY ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Ø Answer correspondence, direct calls and take messages.
Ø Compile, sort, and file records of office activities, business transactions, and other activities.
Ø  Review files, records, and other documents to obtain information to respond to requests.
Ø Deliver messages and run errands.
Ø Assist with inventory of materials, supplies, and services.
Ø Troubleshoot problems involving office equipment, such as photocopier and generator.
Ø Support the reception desk.
Ø Support implementation of office/project activities.
Ø Operate office machines, such as photocopiers and scanners, computers, voice mail systems.
Ø Monitor fixing of malfunctioned office equipment.
Ø Assist in restocking of office supplies such as printing paper, ink, pens, paper clips, staplers, files and folders, and correction fluid.
Ø Participate in employee and management meetings.
Ø Carry out any other duties as assigned.


QUALIFICATION

·National Diploma in Social, management or paramedical courses.
